On Maundy Thursday this year, we are trying something a little different for us. The church will be open from 5-7 p.m. for quiet contemplation and reflection on the story of Jesus’ last night with his disciples before his betrayal and death. This is the night on which he washed their feet, shared the Passover meal with them in a different way, and gave the new commandment to love one another. Prayer stations, art, and prompts for reflection and meditation will be available so that people can come and go as they like. At 6:30, those present will gather around the table and Pastor Connie will lead a simple communion service based on the traditional readings for this day in the church calendar. All are welcome.
