JUBILEE CAFE
Hungry? Short on cash? Come and eat!
Jubilee Cafe offers freshly cooked, made from scratch meals and non-perishable pantry items to college students and community members who struggle with food insecurity. We provide takeaway meals on Mondays from 5 to 6:30 pm. (Due to COVID precautions, we have not yet returned to in-person dining.)

We are always looking for volunteers to assist with cooking, preparing, and distributing food. During the pandemic, our crews are smaller (10-14). However, when we return to café-style, in-person dining, we will operate with crews of 20+ individuals.

Since Jubilee Café began on Oct 2, 2017, we’ve served an increasing number of guests annually—as many as 120-150/night during the pandemic.
Our average meal costs us $100 to produce including packaging and utilities.
The program operates with grants and financial gifts from Faith in Place, the Junior League of Champaign County, the University of Illinois Dads Foundation, Eastern Illinois Foodbank, members of Community United Church of Christ, and other individuals and businesses in Champaign-Urbana, and across the country.
We also receive in-kind food and pantry donations from Sola Gratia, Ye Olde Donut Shoppe, Common Ground Food Cooperative, Far East Grocery, Panera, as well as individual donors.
Additionally, our partnership with Eastern Illinois Foodbank allows us to purchase food and pantry items for our guests at significant discounts.
