Campus Ministry is housed in Community United Church of Christ at 805 South 6th Street, Champaign, Illinois

We are a group of students, undergrad and graduate,  from UIUC and Parkland.  The group provides a welcoming environment for students to explore questions of life and faith, grow as a person, grow as a community, spiritually embrace others, and experience fellowship.





Job Opening: Director of Campus Ministry

Will you “meet students where they are and walk with them as they grow”?  That’s the question we’re asking as we search for a new Director of Campus Ministry, United Church Foundation UIUC (University of Illinois at Urbana-Champaign). The Director of Campus Ministry directs and organizes ministry, outreach, and fundraising for the United Church Foundation UIUC, partnering with its students, student leaders, and Board of Directors, as well as the pastor and members of our nest congregation (Community UCC, Champaign, Illinois).  The Director of Campus Ministry is dedicated to continuing to build a vibrant, progressive, inclusive, faith-based community of university students who reflect myriad identities and is inclusive of LGBTQ+ students/allies and people of color. Successful candidates will have a passion for working directly with 18-25 year-olds in a progressive Christian campus ministry setting. A minimum of a bachelor’s degree and interest in exploring vocational ministry is required, while seminary or vocational training is preferred; proven fundraising experience and experience in organizational development and working with a non-profit boards of directors is preferred. This is a 10-month, part-time position (20 hr/week) with a salary of $24,000 per anum (with additional benefits for ordained clergy). Applicants may email a cover letter, résumé, and references to


Worship at Community UCC: every Sunday at 10:15.

Sunday Lunch, fall and spring semesters.  Share a meal with members of CUCC as you are invited into their homes and families.

Campus Home: Get “adopted” by a family at CUCC.  Meet up on a schedule that works for you, share in family events, meals, and friendship.  Your family might be one grandma or a couple with kids or one person plus one dog… we have families of all shapes and sizes who are looking to welcome a student into their lives.

Jubilee Café: a free dinner in Fellowship Hall for the entire Champaign-Urbana community at CUCC every Monday night.  Eat with us, volunteer with us, share fellowship and meet new people! Dinner is served from 5-6:30.  Campus Ministry gathers around 6 pm.

Bible Study: Bible study is completely open to and affirming of LGBTQ+ people. No need to hide who you are here! You don’t need to keep your spiritual life separate from your sexual orientation or gender identity. God loves you exactly for who you are! (Straight people are welcome too.)

Weekly Programs: These vary each year based on the needs and interests of the students involved.  Come for fun and fellowship!
